I too have read a lot of military memoirs. The best I’ve read is With the Old Breed, by Eugene Sledge. It justifiably famous. I enjoyed the hell out of your books too, by the way!

Have you read Dr. Craig Symonds’ Battle of Midway, published in 2011. It is a great read – hard to put down.
