Jerry, that’s fantastic that there’s another Commodore pilot still with us! Thanks for checking in. Cheers, GC

Greg: I came across this exchange only recently. We’ve lost contact with the BC team re recovery of the Lake Takla Commodore.
I have over the past year corresponded with Bill Nash, who flew PAA Commodores in the 30’s & early 40’s. Next to Moon, I believe Nash is the oldest surviving Commodore pilot! Jerry

The one on this page is Shirley Wilke Mosley’s picture. It’s one of my favorites, too. GC

Shirley Wilke Mosley for a few of the Commodore shots. I think cnac.org for some of the others. I’d have to know which ones you were specifically interested in, however.

As far as I know, Moon Chin is the last surviving man who flew the Commodore.

I have gone to great lengths to establish an accurate historical context and I am looking to use an image of the Consolidated Commodore in the accompanying ‘Notes’ on Facebook so that readers might better understand this period of history. I am thus writing to enquire who might hold the rights to any images that I could subsequently use.

Many thanks.
